The difference between MIPI camera and DVP

The commonly used computer camera interface is the USB interface, while the cameras on ordinary smartphones are MIPI interfaces, and some cameras are DVP interfaces; in layman's terms, USB is a serial universal serial bus, mipi camera manufacturer, MIPI is a mobile industry processing DVP is a digital video port.

The MIPI interface has fewer signal lines than the DVP interface. Because it is a low-voltage differential signal, the interference generated is small, and the anti-interference ability is also strong.

The PCLK of the DVP bus is limited to about 96M, and the trace length should not be too long. The maximum rate of all DVPs is best controlled below 72M, and the PCB layout is easier to draw. Therefore, the requirements for PCB routing and impedance control are higher.

On top of that, DVP interfaces are limited in terms of signal integrity and speed. 500W can barely use DVP, 800W and above all use MIPI interface.
